Aiming the Head for Point Tracking Initialization

When entering Point Track Mode, the system will ask you to calibrate the heads.
At this stage, it’s critical to properly align the head for accurate tracking.

How to Aim the Head Correctly

  1. Understand the Body Position:

    • Look at the reference image on the screen.
    • Identify the body device (Jib, Slider, or Dolly) and its alignment.
  2. Align the Head Orientation:

    • Pan the head so it looks directly ahead along the body’s direction.
    • Tilt the head so it also points straight forward.
  3. Double-Check from Different Angles:

    • From the top view, the pan axis should be perpendicular to the body.
    • From the side view, tilt should be aligned straight with the body’s centerline.
  4. Devices Covered:

    • These alignment rules apply to both HeadPLUS and HeadONE.
  5. Confirm Setup:

    • Once the head is properly aligned, press confirm and move on to the next calibration step.

Important Tip

Ensuring correct head alignment during initialization is essential for optimal point tracking performance throughout your shots.
